Ny funktion i DiVA

I den nya version Av DiVA som finns ute nu kan man spara de personuppgifter man skriver in i formuläret, och hämta fram dem igen när man önskar. Det gäller de delar av formuläret som behandlar författare, redaktör, handledare, examinator och opponent. Man kan spara personuppgifter för valfritt antal personer.

Test: Mediearkivet utökat med Webbarkivet

Fram till 15 nov. har Stockholms universitet en testperiod av Webbarkivet som är en del av databasen Mediearkivet. Webbarkivet innehåller 1 300 svenska och över 50 000 internationella webbtidningar. Det svenska webbarkivet innehåller förutom ca 1 300 svenska webbtidningar även 7 000 bloggar och flertalet etermedia på nätet. Totalt innefattar det svenska webbarkivet över 20 miljoner artiklar och sträcker sig 10 år bakåt i tiden. Det internationella webbarkivet innehåller ungefär 100 miljoner artiklar från källor på ca 25 språk.
Begränsa en sökning i Mediearkivet till webbarkivet genom att markera önskad källa i rullgardinsmenyn "Sök i" källa.

New trial: Journals from Taylor & Francis

Stockholm University has a trial to more than 1 200 journals from the publishers Taylor & Francis, Routledge and Psychology Press at the platform Informaworld. The trial covers journals in the subject areas of Arts & Humanities, Law, Social Science, Science & Technology.
The trial ends the 31st of October.

New trial: Journals from Inderscience Publishing

Stockholm University has a trial of more than 300 journals from Inderscience in the fields of engineering and technology, management and business administration, and energy, environment and sustainable development.

DiVA kommer att flyttat till nya servrar onsdag den 8:e sept. och torsdag den 9:e sept. vilket kommer medföra driftstörningar mellan klockan 20:00 och 23:00

SciVerse

Elsevier has released the beta version of their new platform SciVerse.
This platform will have a new and improved interface and will include Scopus and Science Direct.

New trial: Cambridge Books Online

Cambridge Books Online offers access to eBooks from its world-renowned publishing programme, covering subjects from all disciplines across science, technology and medicine, as well as humanities and social sciences. There are 10 000 titles on the platform, and these will increase to 15 000 by the end of the year.

Stockholm University has a trial until December 1st 2010.

New trial: Physics Journal

Stockholm University has a trial of journals published by the American Institute of Physics and the American Physical Society as well as journals as Geophysics, Leading Edge, Journal of Laser Applications, Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology, Medical Physics, Journal of Rheology and Powder Diffracation.

Science Direct and Scopus will be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance for approximately 9 hours on Saturday, 28 August, between 12:30 pm and 9:30 pm GMT.

Springers MyCopy - köp tryckt version av e-böcker

Eftersom Stockholms universitetsbibliotek har köpt tillgång till ca 13 000 e-böcker från Springer ges studenter och forskare möjlighet att köpa en tryckt version av e-böckerna direkt från Springer via deras plattform SpringerLink. Alla titlar kostar 24.95 euro och frakt ingår i priset. Håll utkik efter länken "Buy a print copy" som finns vid de flesta av e-böckerna på SpringerLink.

New: OECD iLibrary

The OECD has newly launched iLibrary as its new, central online library for books, papers and statistics and the gateway to the organisation’s analysis and data. Once fully featured, OECD iLibrary will replace its predecessor, SourceOECD.

Wiley Online Library problem

When Wiley InterScience migrated to its new platform, Wiley Online Library, on August 7th and 8th, the transition did not go without its flaws.

Over the next few weeks this may result in brief periods of downtime for maintenance.

Limited access to Wiley e-journals August 7-8, 2010

On 7-8 August Wiley will launch the new ‘Wiley Online Library’ service, which will replace the Wiley InterScience journal database. Wiley InterScience will no longer be available from Saturday 7 August at 09:00 am BST. Wiley Online Library is due to go live on Sunday 8 August at 17:00 pm BST.
